Each day will be devoted to a single event, providing you with a deep understanding of the technique by taking you through all phases of the throw and providing drills and exercises addressing specific parts of your throw that need to be improved in order to THROW FAR! We will also provide you strength and conditioning exercises, as well as a sample training plan to help guide you through the months leading up to your competitive season.

All sessions will be held rain or shine!
Please bring your own implements if you are able to.
Lunch is on your own though we will have light refreshments available.

Camp Instructors

Ryan Yurchick – East Coast Throws Academy co-founder and head coach; guided four 2021 Nike Outdoor Nationals meet qualifiers; coach of recent NCAA Division I All-American in the shot put; mentored the 2016 Massachusetts All-State female javelin champion and male runner-up; experience working with multiple NCAA and high school national qualifiers and place-winners in all of the throwing events

Michele Curcio – Head Track & Field Coach at Lafayette College; USTFCCCA Throwing Event Certification Instructor; most recently the women’s throws coach for the Team USA in the 2019 Europe vs USA Match; an expert in throwing event techniques and training; 2010 Team USA U-23 throws coach

Michael Aboulhouda – Currently in his second year as the Kutztown University throws coach where he has mentored student-athletes to All-PSAC honors and NCAA Championship qualifiers. Prior to KU, he guided multiple throwers to the PIAA State Championship meet.

Additional coaches and collegiate & post-collegiate throwers will be assisting with instruction and available for Q&A.
